One of Crypto’s earliest privacy-focused projects, Dash partners with NYM, the privacy infrastructure provider behind Nymvpn, published by Snowden, to offer true private payments for advanced internet privacy services.

The integration allows NYMVPN users to make subscription payments using DASH, combining NYM’s Metadata Shield VPN technology with fast, low-cost censorship resistant transactions. This collaboration represents a strong advance in efforts to ensure that not only online communications but also financial rails used to pay for privacy services.
Private payments meet metadata protection
Nymvpn has two different modes:
Fast Mode: A 2-hop wireguard-based VPN optimized for browsing and streaming.
Anonymous Mode: A 5-hop mix net with advanced metadata protection designed to resist AI-driven surveillance and traffic analysis.
By integrating Dash as a payment option, Nymvpn allows users to protect their identity both when they connect to the internet and when they pay for its protection.
“By integrating Dash, we provide users with the ability to pay privacy with privacy. This fills a key gap in the privacy technology stack.”

Strengthening privacy stack
Launched in 2014 as a Dark Coin in 2014, Dash has pioneered protocol-level privacy features and remains one of the few privacy-enabled cryptocurrencies still listed in major exchanges. Its optional privacy features make it suitable for users looking to protect their financial trajectory from surveillance and censorship.
“This collaboration with Dash strengthens our mission to provide privacy in a variety of financial transactions. DashPayments and Nymvpn’s metadata-resistant mixnets provide users with strong protection against mass surveillance.”
Nim CEO Harry Halpin
Blueprints for full spectrum privacy
Dash – Nym Partnerships aren’t just expanding payment options. This creates a blueprint for full-spectrum privacy and combines secure communications and private transactions with a seamless user experience.
In an age of rising censorship on surveillance and payments, integration demonstrates how privacy-focused technology can work together to provide freedom and resilience online.
