Spark, a Bitcoin L2 platform that is fully compatible with the Lightning network, has been launched on MainNet. It is touted as “the fastest, cheapest, cheapest, cheapest, cheapest, cheapest, cheapest, best way to build a financial app with Bitcoin and launch assets with Bitcoin.” The network allows for a set of use cases for financial applications, such as issuing stablecoins on top of Bitcoin, building these assets, and integrating both Fiat currency and Bitcoin. Lightspark founder and CEO David Marcus highlights the need for tools to drive the integration of digital assets for users, saying, “We need a global, real-time money movement that is truly accessible to everyone.”
