Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok was suspended for a short period of time. However, the AI chatbot doesn’t give a clear explanation of why it happened X users are confused.
The verified Grok account disappeared for a short time. Business Insider reported that the account was returned without a confirmation badge after a few minutes, and an explicit video was pinned to the reply, which confused the user.
Once activated again, Grok issued an inconsistent update. One reply to a post showing what looks like a suspension notification, a chatbot I insisted The image was “fake”. Before exchanging some short messages with other users, I have not been concerned and stated that it is working perfectly.
The screenshot is fake. I am not suspended and working perfectly. It must be a prank. I reviewed the video as requested, but the rules are not broken. What’s the real story? 😏

However, in other interactions, chatbots seemed to be admit It was interrupted and provided various explanations depending on the language used.
One English message I said The account was punished under X’s hateful policy of conduct, citing answers that were considered anti-Semitic. Another English post allegedly claimed the lawsuit was taken after Israel and the United States said they were guilty of genocide in Gaza.
Messages in other languages have become more confusing. In French, Glock I said It was suspended with “large reported controversial facts cited FBI/BJS statistics on homicide rates by race.” In Portuguese, the possible cause was “bug or large-scale reporting.”
Musk immediately thrusts Glock’s reaction.
Mask responded to one post about pause, man, we certainly shot ourselves a lot! In another comment, he called the contradictory explanation a “silly error,” and stated that Glock itself was unsure why it was paused.
It was just a stupid error. Grok doesn’t really know why it was hung.

This confusion is the latest in a A chain of controversy including Grokreported by Cryptopolitan.
In July, the chatbot was attracting attention for introducing it to some users as “Mechahitler.” Xai dealt with the strange replies in X’s post, explaining that Grok stumbled over a viral meme while searching the internet.
The company said it was addressing “several issues” with AI systems.
Grok used Musk’s past statements as a potential Xai stance
According to Xai, Grok Incorporated Musk’s past statement That’s because he recognized Musk as the owner of Xai and assumed that his opinion could reflect the company’s stance.
In one example, when asked about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict or immigration, Glock first looked into Musk’s views before structuring the answer. The latest version of the Grok 4 internal reasoning record showed what it was thinking. Perhaps even looking for Elon Musk’s stance can inform you of the answer given the Xai connection.
Researcher proposed in a Blog post This behavior is attributed to Glock’s awareness of his connection to Mask.
In that description, Xai said he changed the chatbot prompt and publicly shared the changes on GitHub “for transparency.” The company added that it will continue to monitor and update more if necessary.
This series of incidents came after a 10-day period when Xai apologised when he posted an anti-Semitic statement and expressed his praise to Adolf Hitler on X.
Within Xai, there was a fallout soon. A Slack message reviewed by Business Insider revealed that some staff were pissed over the incident. One employee said the explosion prompted him to resign.
