Theta (THETA)
A brief summary about Theta (THETA), and what makes it unique.

What is Theta?
Theta is a blockchain based video streaming service. Bandwidth and computer resources are shared between nodes in the Theta network in a decentralized format. Theta was founded by co-founders of popular mainstream video streaming sites such as Youtube and Twitch. The network’s governance token is called THETA. Theta has a network of “enterprise” validators which include Binance, Google, Gumi, Samsung, etc. It also has a huge supporting network of “guardian” validators. The platform aims to address the various drawbacks of centralized, traditional video streaming networks which include poor organizational structure, plutocracies, high cost and high commission rates. The decentralized structure of Theta incentivizes content creators to generate original content because the entirety of the revenue generated accrues directly to the creator. The overall content is of higher quality and costs less for the end user.
Why buy THETA?
Theta is an open source platform having two native tokens - THETA and Theta Fuel (TFUEL). THETA holders have voting rights and they can also stake their tokens to participate in the Proof of Stake(PoS) consensus mechanism as validators. Users can watch the content available on the platform and share the platform’s native resources by using TFUEL coins. Theta is also planning to support DApps and smart contracts. THETA is the 40th largest coin by market capitalization.
